Hi everyone,
I have a Catalyst 4510 that is running IOS version 15.X that has a bug and Cisco recommends upgrading the IOS. Are there additional steps required to perform an IOS upgrade due to licencing Cisco put in place?
Thanks in advance

Nope. Just upgrade along the same feature set path and it should be fine and your licenses will be not be harmed.

Thanks Leolaohoo,
Do you know if the IOS upgrade procedures are the same regardless of the IOS levels?

I agree with Reza. The 4500 file comes in BIN file extension.
So it's as easy as copying the file from your TFTP server/CF to the boot directory, and optionally, configuring the boot variable statement.
