VLAN Migration

I am planning to move couple of my VLan gateways from Cisco catalyst 6500 to Nexus. I anyone could suggest what to keep in mind before make any change in production ?

Building the SVIs on the NExus is pretty much the same as 6500.  If you have a single 6500 and a single Nexus it is easier and faster, as you don't need to worry about VRRP/HSRP, etc..

If you have multiple devices, you can build everything a head of time and than in a maintenance window move the IPs from one device to another. Don't forget to add the vlans to the trunk ports.
