VSS between 3750 & 3750X

Hi, 

I am currently constructing a network design and plan to use VSS, I am quite new to VSS and so far I have only read about it. Thus before including it in my project plan I would like to conduct a test/lab between a 3750 & a 3750x but am not sure if having a different model switch would allow the VSS to form? 

In the actual implementation I plan to use two stand along 3750x but I would first like to see if it works in my lab. If having a different model switch is not doable I will get another 3750 just to be sure...

VSS not supported on 3750 or 3750X.

So it is only supported on the 6500 series? I was told that it was also supported on the 3750x...

Not supported on 3750 series.

Works on the 4500x and 6500.
