I have two 4500-X VSS clusters connected using an MPLS VLL (layer 2 EPipe) with the same Domain id. It is very disruptive to change the Domain id and reload one of the VSS clusters. Is there a way that I can configure the Vlan being extended between the 2 sites so that it uses a static MAC and not the system generated one? Vlan 2389 is configured on a port-channel connecting to the PE router.
Help greatly appreciated if anyone has a cunning solution to this issue.
