I have configured VTP ve between 2 Cisco Switches for testing how works. The issue that I have detected is that not propagate de correct VTP status. After force CCIE1 switch to Primary Server the CCIE2 switch keeps on thinking that primary server is himself.

Attach the outputs.

At finally I thought that issue with Sync VTP between 2 switches was the version of each switch because is different
    - CCIE1  WS-C3750G-24T      12.2(55)SE
    - CCIE2  WS-C3560-24TS    12.2(55)SE11

Your MD5 digest does not match, but should match. Most likely you have different passwords configured on switches.

Try to issue (maybe password is visible, or just overwrite it):

show vtp password

After that, make vtp server primary, add new vlan, exit vlan config mode and check result.

Hello,

try and change the client switch to transparent and then back to client...

Hi,

I tried before but didn't work.

Best regards,

Hi

You can follow these steps:

- Verify domain
- Verify passwords
- Verify version 3 configured on the clients
- Verify the trunk interfaces

On the sever configure

vtp mode server
switch# vtp primary force
switch# vtp primary vlan force

Also you can create a new vlan wait few seconds and remove it.

Hope it is useful

:-)
