I have cisco 2950 - WS-C2950-24 with IOS c2950-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA10a.bin
I have disabled incoming telnet connections on switch, and enabled ssh, which is working fine for managing the device.
Now there is a requirement to have web management enabled, and it works only when i allow telnet connection on the switch.
Is it possible to have both ssh and http access enabled on the switch, if yes then how ??
Thanks for your help.

Satish

Hi Satis
See if you have the global configuration level command "ip http secure-server" available to you.
If you have you should be able to configure SSL (https) to access the switch wile maintaining SSH as teh method oc command line access.

Michael

Hi Satis
After a little further digging it looks like SSL (https) is not supported on the Catalyst 2950 switche. They are based on IOS version 12.1 and SSL functionality was only introduced IOS version 12.2.
SSL is aparently supported on the Catalyst 2960 models.

Michael

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply.
So does that mean I cant have ssh and web management enabled on switches at the same time ??
If yes, then what a dissapointment.
