Hello Cisco Community!
Redundancy is great! Until it creates loops. That’s where Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) steps in!
In this week’s session, I dive into how STP protects Layer 2 networks from broadcast storms, how the root bridge election process works, and how RSTP improves convergence times.
Duration: 28 minutes
Coming soon: a 3 hour+ deep dive where I’ll cover CST, PVST+, RSTP, and MST in detail. Stay tuned!

BTW, for anyone carefully listening, at about the 15:32 mark, when Enes describes the BPDU as the British Protocol Data Unit, he meant to say the Bridge Protocol Data Unit.
