What happens to a switch's config when it is removed from a stack

What happens to a 3750G or 3750X switch's configuration file when it is separated from it's stack. The switch is not the number 1 switch.

Hello
It depends on how many switches are in the stack and how they are connected.
Switches form a logical stack so they share the same configuration and mgt ip address, if you disconnect a switch from a stack you would need to wipe the separated switch and reconfigure it.

As for the remaining switches in the stack, you would also need to unprovision the disconnected switch from the stack and also make sure the stack as whole is reconnected (stacking cables) so it becomes a closed stack again.

kind regards
Paul

Hello,

as far as I recall, the configuration does not change, you have to use the command 'no switch provision' in order to get rid of all stack configuration parts of the config.
