Hello,

This question is regarding the Cisco IOS Software on Secure Shell Denial of Service Vulnerability. I am currently using Cisco IOS 3.8.6E on a WS-C4507R+E. Does Cisco recommend upgrading to 3.8.10E? Is there any document related to the fix for this issue?

Based on the Cisco's Vulnerabilities report, the following link was provided but no software upgrade recommendation:

The only way to get a correct answer is to raise a TAC Case.  The information found in the Security Bulletin and the Bug ID are, for a lack of a better word, joke.  

NOTE:  

I can understand anyone reading this Security Bulletin would be thoroughly stymied.  

Ok, so the Security Bulletin points to a bug, CSCvk71355.   The bug states on the bottom the affected platform to be an End-of-Support 2600 router.  The IOS, 15.2(4)E, does not make any sense either.
