Hi,
I have 2x2503 routers at home which I want to connect back to back using an ethernet cat5 crossover. I was wondering which port on the router is used for the ethernet, the show interface command states there being 1 ethernet interface on each router although I cant see it on the back panel. The ports I do have are
2xserial db60
1 console
1 bri port
1 AUX port (is this the ethernet)
Do I have to buy some sort off converter or use one off those above ports? also to connect back to back routers do I use a crossover cable or a normal cat5
Thanks

The 2503 does not have an RJ-45 for Ethernet, it has a DB15 AUI port. It is the left-most connector. You will need to attach a transceiver to the port. Here is the documentation - have a look at figure 1-3.

You can get the AUI transceiver as cheap as 12 $ + shipping.

The AUX port acts the same as a the console port, generally used for remote administration IE: you could connect a modem to the AUX port and remotely console to the router, or you could use the AUX port for a dial on demand backup link.
