because the device implements CEF based multilayer switching.
not all platforms are able to update the SVI interface counters taking in account MLS activity.
for example a C6500 with recent IOS images can do it.
An old hybrid mode C6500 couldn't do it (MSFC was a stand-alone device running IOS)
