Hi!
A couple of weeks ago we experienced some problems with 3 ports on a WS-X6716-10GE, they showed a lot of CRC errors in the output packets and in return the applications presented delays and the downstream switches started to drop the packets. We moved the connection to other ports in another LC WS-X6716-10GE and the problem got solved.
We then moved back the link to a affected port and the issue started again, so we soft-reset the LC and the problem got solved. We have no idea at to this point on what happened. Can someone tell me what to look for? I thought it could be a oversubscription problem but according to our monitoring tool those ports have an average Bandwidth consumption of 100 Mbps. Plus, if it where any oversubscription problems, I thinking packet would've got dropped instead of damaging the packages.
Does anyone have any idea?
1 port is in port-group 1
2 ports are in port-group 2
Thanks!
Jessica

Hi,
Since soft resting the LC connectors solved the issue, you may want to replace the fiber patch. This way you eliminate the connectors as well as patch cord issue.
