For some reason a common occurance is getting GUI errors for projectors or LCD's. We have over a hundred registered CTS's and not all of them show this error but we do get them and confirm with local IT that all the cabling and systems are (and tested as) working as normal. 99% of the time it seems like a cosmetic issue and 1% the system is turned off.. 99% of the time it is very annoying. Is there a known problem with this and are there others out there (with many systems registered) have this same issue?

There could be a few different causes for the issue you're seeing. The first thing I would suggest is to check cabling again. On the LCD screens, there are two serial ports that are stacked. The serial cable should be connected to the port closest to the screen/furthest away from the wall. That is one of the most common cause for the false alarms on LCD screens.
EDIT - I forgot to add, the systems will work perfectly normal with this configuration, while still showing an error in the GUI.

Thanks for the speedy response, its very hard to get local customers who are not technical to have this checked and Cisco will not dispatch for these items. Im hoping initial install is correct, but we will keep this in mind.
Thank you so much.

Glad I can help Freddi. If that doesn't work, let us know, as there are other causes for what your are experiencing.
