Adding CMS into TMS 15.5 -Huge requirement

Hi  guys !

Cisco TMS  force  to create the call bridges CLUSTER  to be added as a managed bridge ,, this requirement  is huge ,,as call bridge require database clustering with a  minimum of 3 call bridges,, thus need license to activate the CB...

IS there a  easy way to manage/schedule the conferences and also control  members inside space .

Excerpt  from TMS depolyment guide - Pg 104.

Note the following points before you add a CMS in Cisco TMS:
■ You must configure the cluster call bridges in CMS and then add the primary CMS in Cisco TMS.
■ It is not mandatory to add the CMS node where the master database is hosted in CMS cluster as the primary managed node in TMS. The CMS node that is added in Cisco TMS is identified as primary CMS from TMS.

■ It is mandatory to enter the Username and Password, to add a CMS.

Cisco TMS supports CMS version 2.0 and above. CMS can only be tracked by IP Address or Hostname

You need 3 database nodes, not all of which have to be callbridges.  More often you might have three nodes, all of which run the database component but only two run callbridge.

You don't have to activate the Call Bridge on all three Meeting Servers, if you have two CMS, than a third non-licenses CMS can be a database server to provide redundancy for the other two databases running co-resident with the two Call Bridges.  You'd only have to activate two of the three servers in this scenario.

You can schedule calls using TMS, however there isn't a way to manage the active calls currently using CCC, a separate server called Cisco Meeting Manager is being developed and released later this year for this function.  Space management is currently controlled using CMA or the CMS API.

There is no requirement where you must run a CMS cluster with TMS, the exercp you're mention is just saying that if you are running a CMS cluster, you must do these x things prior to adding it into TMS.

Hi  Patrick !

thanks for the input !  very much appreciated , u have helped a lot of guys in community !

so, far addition of single split core/edge cms server into tms 15.5, resulting in  error , iam adding only CB into TMS thru navigator,,it prompt error " system not found" ,,,even though network and credential are good,,, but still i could not figure out the reason,,,, i want u to note that currently the NLB  factor is not working good ,,,

What port are you using for webadmin?  If you are using a port other than 443 (such as 445 as is often used) try putting the port at the end when you add it to TMS - e.g. cms-hostname.domain.com:445

the network between  tms and cms is good , ping and dns name is reachable from both side , no firewall in tms server activated ,  i am adding from individual tms and from VIP address of tms,but still not success.

i could not get the logs,,where i can i find tms is registering the error of  not being to add the cms ...

From CMS, can you provide the output for the below commands:

webadmin
ipv4 <listening port of webadmin>

Hi  !  Patrick !

iam using  port 445  for webadmin !

after troubleshooting, i found some problem in webadmin ,,it is resetting the TCP session ! during troubleshooting process , when i issue webadmin restart command , the admin portal won't work , even though webadmin status shows service is started,,,   i had to  reboot the server to  re-gain the admin portal .  to resolve this i upgrade the  cms to latest version 2.2.5 .  cms troubleshooting documents are limited in internet,,,

and i think this prevents me to add this cms in tms .... if u have any inputs,,,let me know !
