Running the Webex Room Kit Plus w/firmware Ce9.8.1. 

Getting a warning: No Camera Found

Make sure the camera control cable between the camera and the system is connected. 

The system is functional but getting a firmware text comment that camera needs firmware upgrade. 

Is there a length limit for the control cable?   

Customer has the Bar installed about 30 feet from the codec and using a local made cat 5 cable.

You will usually see this message if you have upgraded the codec using the .pkg file which doesn't include the software for the camera.   Upgrade/re-upload the software to the endpoint using the .cop.sgn file which will then be able to upgrade the software version on the camera. 

Might also be worth checking the "local made cat5 cable" - it may not be terminated correctly, or may not meet the TIA/EIA-568 performance requirements.  I'd also recommend that nobody install a "cat5" cable anywhere any more - it's way too old of a standard to be using in modern deployments.  You should be using "Category 6" or preferably "Category 6A".
