Does your Endpoint detecting camera?
If you access your Endpoint from console/ssh/telnet and execute “xsta camera” command, then you should see camera information like below.
=====================================================
*s Camera 1 (connected=True):
Type: PrecisionHD
ID: "0f000000"
SoftwareID: "S01692-3.0Final [ID:30038] 2009-08-27"
Pan: 450
Tilt: 53
Zoom: 18
Focus: 4238
*s/end
=====================================================
If you see like below response, then Codec is not detecting camera properly or not able to communicate with camera via cable.
=================================
*s Camera 1 (connected=False): /
*s/end
=================================
=================================
*s Camera 1 (connected=True):
Type: PrecisionHD
ID: "0f000000"
SoftwareID: ""
Pan: 0
Tilt: 0
Zoom: 2768
Focus: 0
*s/end
=================================
In this case, suggest checking the cable connection and restarting the code making sure there is no lose connection.
If issue is still there, I’d recommend contacting Cisco TAC for further investigation.

Thanks, today I did this method and I had:
*s Camera 1 (connected=False): /
*s/end
However, when I connect the camera on a Tandberg C20, it works correctly. How I can configure the camera for operate in the Tandberg Edge 95???
Thanks a lot.

This is interesting.
Edge MXP use DSub9 interface for connecting PHD camera for video/control link.
C20 use HDMI between codec and PHD camera (while camera control still use DSub9 interface on codec and RJ45 connector on PHD camera).
When you verified that “camera works with C20”, do you mean you able to see video from camera on screen as well as able to control camera by remote controller?
(Assume you have connected PHD camera on C20 using separate HDMI cable which Edge won’t use…)

Yes, I can watch video on the screen and the remote controller it´s ok too.

Just to clarify the connection, is below is correct connection between 720p PHD camera and C20?
720p PHD Camera C20
[HDMI] <--------- HDMI cable ---------> [Camera HDMI Input]
[RJ45] <---- RJ45/DSub9 cable -----> [Camera Control RS232]

Yes.
And when the camera is connected with Edge 95 It's only possible to use RJ45/DSub9 cable, because the Edge 95 doesn't have the HDMI input.

Yes, Edge MXP use DSub9 interface for connecting PHD camera for video/control link.
As you may know there is two type of DSub9/RJ45 camera cable for MXP Endpoint.
One is for T6000MXP and other for T3000MXP/EdgeMXP Endpoint (different pin assignment for video link).
Is there any label on DSub9/RJ45 camera cable you have (like “6000MXP” or “3000MXP” in RJ45 connector side)?
BTW, is this “no video” issue suddenly happen (was working properly for a while) without any configuration/setup modification?
Also I assume you connect DSub9 cable on camera port not console RS232 port… (interesting that you able to control camera on C20 but not Edge where use same pin for camera control).
Have you double checked serial port 1 mode is “Control” (if API then “xConfiguration SerialPort 1 Mode: Control”)?
