Hi,
We have Cisco C40's in two classrooms. The video is captured with a system called Echo360.
Last October we started having problems with the cameras. They will move at random times. This is not consistent and I have not been able to reproduce it. This occurs in both rooms.
The Standby settings are not the same and I've not changed them. I can't find the logs for 12-07-21 when I know it happened. In the logs that have anything recent I can't find anything that sticks out, but I am new to these logs.
Any ideas of what may be going on? Thanks!

The Cisco C40 is a very old endpoint, it is well past its end of support date of 30 September 2020.
It is highly recommended that you consider updating it to a newer and supportable model.
As for why the cameras are moving, this could be caused by many things - using the web interface of the codec, using FECC, triggering a camera preset, IR remote - or even dodgy LED light bulbs - these are just a few of the many options.
You also mention that the Standby settings on the unit are not what you set them to - so this also seems to suggest that there is something you aren't aware of that is changing your endpoint(s) - whether this be via web interface, CLI, or management system templates, persistent settings, etc its not easy to say without knowing significantly more details about your environment.

Thanks for the help! We plan on removing the codecs from our system soon, so that should fix any problems.
