Hi,
I am experiencing some interface and connectivity problems with a Polycom Camera connected to a 4507R Switch.
Specifically, output errors and collisions.
Here´s the output:
GigabitEthernet2/38 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet Port, address is 0013.7fec.aca5 (bia 0013.7fec.ac
a5)
Description: Camara Polycom Sala Videoconferencia
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
Half-duplex, 10Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 10/100/1000-TX
input flow-control is off, output flow-control is off
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input never, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 38w1d
Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)
5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
23360328 packets input, 13363490745 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 4074 broadcasts (0 multicast)
0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
29303208 packets output, 13592022686 bytes, 0 underruns
177638 output errors, 88819 collisions, 0 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
Speed and Duplex are fixed to 10 Mbps - Half duplex.
Probably the transmitted/reveived packets in comparisson to output errors is not too high but I´m experiencing some freeze and slow video problems.
Any idea of what could be happening?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If you hardwire the speed/duplex settings on the endpoint, then you should hardwire the switch end too. Try hardwiring both ends to 100/full.

Thanks for your reply...
The thing is that this camera only connects at this speed and duplex.
Does anyone know why Output Errors are the exact double of collisions???
When a collision occur the packet is retransmitted but shouldn´t be an output error.
Could this be the camera NIC that's not working properly?
Thanks Carlos.
