Hello!
We are implementing CUVC and have CCM v8.x with existing polycom and tandberg endpoints. From the CUCM (video portion) design guide, it appears that all the endpoints should register to the gatekeeper and then do a GK trunk to the CUCM, but our local cisco SE said to register them to the CUCM as H.323 endpoints? Anyone have an opinion on either of these methods? I would appreciate feedback. thanks!

I would personally register the end points to the gatekeeper instead of call manager. What you'll be doing if your end points are H323 endpoints and you configure the gatekeeper option on the H323 device configuration page is you're creating a RAS agregator trunk (it's in the SRND). This basically creates a new GK controlled trunk on call manager even though you don't see it listed under trunks for each end point. To keep this extra traffic off of the call manager I'd use a gatekeeper, but either will work.
