DX80 Audio Lag

This is something of a minor issue, but it is a major annoyance.

1. I connect my Macbook Pro with Retina Screen to the DX80 via HDMI.
2. On Mac Settings, I choose Sound, External, DX80
3. This send the audio from the MBP to the Dx80 speakers which sounds great
4. When playing video from my MBP, the audio to the DX80 lags by about 1/2 - to 1 seconds. So it is really annoying to watch training videos or any other presentations that include video - I.e., webex recordings. 

Anyone else have this issue or heard of a way to solve it?

I now have a new PC- Lenovo P50. The same audio lag issue exists.
