Getting the video port allocation status out of Conductor or conferencing bridges

Is there a nice and easy way to get the total video port allocation information from Conductor or MCU units to be used in a portal or in a similar service? Also, what is the best way to get warnings/alerts about the video port allocation exceeding its limits without polling Conductor/MCUs?

Unfortunately there is no automate warning/alerts notification mechanism for video port utilization level.

Under Status > Conferences on MCU Web GUI, you may able to review current and max utilization level for video and audio ports.

TelePresence Conductor manage MCU resource information but doesn’t support API with current release version therefore limited solution for automate notification.

You may retrieve connect/disconnect log and build up DB but depend on media port configuration, you may need to add additional port for content/streaming also video port(s) for cascading if TelePresence Conductor is used with cascade configuration template.

BTW, TelePresence Conductor doesn’t support getxml (i.e. https://ipaddress/getxml) like VCS support today.

Other method is to use MCU API and calculate the video port (and audio port) by pulling the information “totalVideoPorts”, “videoPortAllocation”, “reserveVideoPorts” etc.
