Dears,

I have a Cisco 9971 and a polycomm hdx registered as SIP phones to my CME.

Video Calls initiated from Polycom to 9971 works susccessfully and i can see from the polycom side that it is transmitting h264 and receiving h264.

but video calls initiated from the cisco 9971 are not working, i have only audio call, when i looked into Polycom i saw that it is transmitting h264 but receiving h261 from the Cisco phone.

I think this is the cause of my problem, so how can i tell the Cisco 9971 to use h264 when it initiates the call ??

Hi,

I have not tried it personally but  should work, configure a voice class codec globally:

!
voice class codec 1
video codec h264
!

and then apply it to the "voice register pool x"

router(config-register-pool)#voice-class codec 1 ?

ps: you might need to restart the phone for the change to take affect.

hth,

Vishal
