Hi, Is 3425 a standalone server? i.e. It contains both the content manager and server and good for a small site?

3425 is only a MPEG1/2 broadcast server. It does not run the content manager. You will have to buy a separate 3412 to act as content manager.

For a small sites - 3417 is the starter kit with the CM & the server both on the same box.

The Starter Kit doesn't do full MPEG2 (only "Half" D1). The Content Manager can be loaded and run on the BC servers.... assuming the licensing will allow it.

The CM doesn't add much load to the processor and sholdn't have much inpact on the transmission of the video streams.
