Hello,

My customer purchased the 3511 E MCU, so far i can't find any documentation that explains what the two network cards are for, or which one i'm supposed to use. Also when i configured the network settings on MCU, i can't ping the NIC and the LED's are lit green (not blinking), this happened on both NICs. I would appreciate any help.

The 3511 MCU-E contain a separate MCU and an EMP within a single chassis. One NIC is for the MCU and the other for the EMP; both need to be connected to the network. There are two console ports to facilitate this. The EMP needs to register with the MCU to provide advanced multipoint functionality such as continuous presence.

There is some information regarding the physical ports and the setting of IP addresses at:

I'd always suggest hardwiring both ends of the links to 100/full to avoid any duplex ambiguities.
