Hello, I need to register endpoints over SIP to my VCS Expressway with authentication. I am able to register the SX80's installed at my customer site but somehow when trying to register the customer's SX20's, i get a "received from unauthenticated source" and the registration fails. If I use the same login credentials on all the SX80's it works fine... seems only a problem with the SX20's. All systems are at version TC7.3.4 and my VCS is at version X7.2.3. Anybody have any idea why it would work with SX80 and not SX20? Obviously my VCS is properly configured as it works with the SX80 but why won'T it work with my SX20's? Thank you all for your input.
Regards
Steve

I have found my answer for all those who may run into the same situation:
The issue has been resolved. It’s a known bug. https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuj48259/?referring_site=bugquickviewredir
The SX20 thinks that it’s in automatic provisioning mode so when you enter the SIP Login it automatically erases it. In order to ensure that provisioning is OFF, you have to run the following command: (even if provisioning mode is showing “OFF” in the web interface, don’t trust it!)
xconf Provisioning Mode: off
I finally was able to register my SX20's using the mentionned above command.
Again, Cisco keeps throwing curves and we have to catch them
Good luck to everyone

I actually came across this issue a month ago. It's not Cisco throwing a curve ball at you, it's the codec trying to be smart and help you by automatically provisioning itself with some system that it recognizes by method of DHCP Options, you must have either DHCP Options 150 or 242 configured on your network.
