hello,
we have a few modular rooms that require the cable for the table microphones (CS-MIC-TABLE-J) connected to a room kit plus, longer than 15m, hence the mic cable + one extender are not sufficient.
what is the recommended solution? can we daisy chain two extenders? what is the result of the audio signal quality? what is the longest supported cable length?
thanks
Davide

Hi,
Cisco support third-party AV solutions for telepresence devices.
If you can't resolve your case by standard way, you can add third party. Bad sound for participants in conference isn't good ( Ask your local AV integrator.

I have successfully used two Cisco extension cables before without any issue in a number of installations where there was a need for this. I'm not sure I'd want to increase to more extensions than that - there is loss at every additional connector as well as with increased length/voltage drop. For longer distances, looking into 3rd party audio cabling integration in your installation would be recommended. Also note that the Euroblock versions of the microphones have 9m cables rather than the 7.5m, so if you can use those, you can get a little extra distance, but will need to adapt the codec end to suit.
