MCU 4501 widescreen streaming and spectator

Hi.

Two quiestions:

1. All our video terminals are widescreen, and then you use MCU streaming, you get 4:3 video streamed, cut left and right borders. I did not find corresponding option in settings. Any suggestions?

2. Is there ability to connect to conference as spectator, without appearing on other's terminals? Like streaming, but using endpoint or Video Jabber client.

Turning camera off is not an option, because black screen is displayed anyway.

For wide screen, Settings > Conferences> Transmitted video resolutions, then choose “16:9 resolution only”.

You may want to select wide layout mode on conference setting as well.

For conference monitoring (spectator) without appearing on conference, you may configure your monitoring Endpoint on MCU and Endpoint and then configure “Muted” on “Initial audio status” and “Initial video status”.

This specific Endpoint will connect on conference as video/audio muted Endpoint but Endpoint does receive video and audio from conference bridge (won’t take one layout panel and appear as black image site).

Thanks, muting video and audio from TMS controls removes user window. It leaves telephone icon on screen, but at least something.

Will try widescreen setting later, but not sure what would be with 4:3 clients.

Once you connected video muted and audio muted Endpoint, you will see Endpoint on conference with following controls option and status.

You may click unmute (mic icon with red box) to speak on conference.

If you need to show yourself, you may click unmute video (camera icon with blue box) then your video image become available on conference (but you won’t able to unmute the video once you done this).
