Monitors can't detect HDMI cable connected to SX20

Hello,

I'm having a strange problem with SX20 codec connecting to 2 Samsung monitors . Sometimes both monitors will warn that the HDMI cable is not connected and the VC also gives warning about no monitor detected when user awake the VC and monitors. The same setup in another meeting room don't have this issue though. Both codecs are running TC7.3.2.14ad7cc.

I have tried replacing the codec with no success. I also checked the CEC setting on the VC and monitors according to the TAC engineer, it's the same as the normal meeting room, so I think it's not the cause. I'm planning to replace the HDMI cables now, but I don't actually think this will solves the problem. Since I think it's unlikely both HDMI cables will malfunction at the same time. Any advice is appreciated!

Are you using the HDMI cables that came with the SX20?

I would try and replacing the HDMI cables, I had an issue the other day where video was working fine, but CEC wasn't, turned out to be either a bad HDMI cable, or it was just old and didn't support what I was using it for.

Hi Patrick,

We are not using the original cables, but I don't think cable is the problem. Because when this issue happen, both monitors will warn about no HDMI cable connecting to them. But we are planning to replace the cables anyway. Thanks for your reply.

Make sure you're using a quality HDMI cable, and also one that meets at least the HDMI 1.2a specs.  Older HDMI 1.2 ot HDMI 1.1 cables can cause you problems.
