Change the switch ports and cables between MCU and EMP.Sometimes devices on the otherside might send at variable rates incompatible with Cisco MCU.Try Upgrading the version to 4.2.10.

I have been tweaking everything possible for past year on mine using tandberg endpoints. Same wan links works beutifully with Tandberg MPS MCU. I would love to see a solution.

Anybody find a resolution to this or is this? I have identical complaints and have not been able to find a solution. TAC is not very helpful on any IPVC issues.

Hi Hauchinago,
i did a simulation in a simulation lab & i took all the default setting on mcu and simulate the same if u found the same problem then ask for replace MCU but if you found better quality in this simulation then do the same setting in production setup too.
i will suggest few other setting too
1. Qos for video on switch is need to be configured properly.
2. Instead of using MCU directly if you have call manager then integrate that with mcu as a h.323 gateway & assign bandwith in location & region for per video call.
lot other thing is also there
if you resolved then let me know otherwise i will get some more option to improve video
Thanks

Hi,
I was having poor quality when using the MCU and EMP.
Is your MCU and EMP both set to 100/full static? Make sure your switches that connect to the EMP and MCU are set to 100/full static also. I was having a similiar problem. I did that, and it clear it right up!
