HI Team,

We had a TMS with version 14.2 and had the TMS Mibs as attached. We had the SNMP server and want this server to display the alerts when it comes from TMS.

Could you please confirm what settings needs to be done at the TMS and the server side so that they can work together.

If any guide will be appreciated.

Regards

Admin Tools > Configuration > Network Settings > Event Notification Section

TMS's online help covers this as well as the TMS Admin Guide, i.e. Network Settings section

You need to add the tms.mib to whatever third party tool your using.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for your reply.Could you clear the below doubts as well :-

1) This TMS is live server what alerts the TMS will send to the SNMP server.

2) Is the TMS faces any issues or harm while integrating it.

3) DO we need to do anything on the TMS server on which it is running.

The reason why i asked as this TMS is the Live server and dont want to take any risks.

Please suggests on this.

1) This TMS is live server what alerts the TMS will send to the SNMP server.

The IP address (or addresses) listed in the Event Notification section (comma separated list) will receive SNMP Traps from Cisco TMS when an event notification message contained in the MIB is created.

2) Is the TMS faces any issues or harm while integrating it.

No. If that was the case, we wouldn't support it

3) DO we need to do anything on the TMS server on which it is running.

Don't follow what you mean...in particular which it is running? What is it?

Hi Dale

I had checked the option in the Network Settings. Thanks fro that.

One more question

we had the SNMP server which displays the alerts on the screen.I want to know will the TMS  displays the same alerts like

network down for the endpoints etc on the screen . We dont any alerts via mail.

Your mixing apples and oranges I think.

TMS uses it's own Ticketing Service for feedback from systems that it directly manages.

The TMS MIB will only send SNMP Traps based on what's in the TMS MIB. Simply open the tms.mib in a text editor and you'll see what those are...which isn't actually that many or as diverse as TMS's own internal ticketing service.
