Root or FTP access for CTS-1300

Hi All,

Looking for a way to upload or create a file in the CTS-1300's file system to have Meetings button show up on the 7975 room phone connected to the the codec.

There was a similar thread (CTS with 7975 IP phones OBTP) which had the exact same issue, only difference is that we do not have TMS in the system, but a 3rd party scheduling service which works fine with our other CTS units, but this one. Based on the previous thread's Cisco TAC case the solution should be to create a file named SRSystemInfo in the folder /nv/state on the CTS-1300 which contains the IP address, ports, type and version number of the scheduling service, like the one below (all our other working CTS devices have this file):

<IP_address_of_the_scheduling_service>  # this is the IP address of our TMS server which we used in the past, probably because the CTS' were registered to it, hence this file was pushed down to the unit by TMS in a way unknown to me once the unit was added to TMS
443
80
TMS
15.5.0 # version number of TMS

Only problem there are no means to create the file on the CTS-1300 or copy it there, or set this info on CUCM where the unit is registered to. Please note that TMS has been removed from our infrastructure so it cannot be used to register the unit to it and then register to our 3rd party scheduling service once the file has been created on the unit.

Looking for any advice how I can access the CTS-1300 with root access to have access to the file system or other means to copy the file (FTP, SCP, etc.).

Thank you in advance.

Hello

CTS1300 is already end of life.

To get the root access you need to generate the passphrase which you will give to cisco engineer then only he can generate a root access password which you can use.

As this is already EOL you will not be able to get help.

But try to open a TAC case and request for root password and see if you get some help.

Else there is no alternate way to get the root access of codec.

Thanks
