We are currently implementing a video conferencing solution for one of our customers. We have installed over 10 cameras with VT Advantage. For about several months everything worked fine, now all of a sudden the video quality has degraded by approximately 70% (voice quality is very good). I also noticed that the video quality is still very low when I press the "start video check" button without making a call. The network utilization on this LAN is very low. Any suggestions?

Was there any recent change in codec for video? If you are using Wideband codec for video on the vtadvantage, please use H263 and try. The problem could be related to bandwith.

Hello,
there were no changes in the codec, not even the video bandwidth in the regional settings in callmanager were touched. However i think i found out what's causing the problem. The quality drops significantly when there is bad lighting and works well with good lighting. I thought that the computer only streams the content without actually going into further video processing for light effects. Has anyone encountered this?
