T3 C90 codecs

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone might be able to help. We have a client who would like to turn each C90 codec from a T3 system into a stand alone vc system. I am aware that each codec has bespoke software installed with relation to whether it's a centre, left or right codec, however is there any way to upload the standard c90 software image onto each codec.

It could be possible - they all run the same software, it's just the ProductID and ProductKey that are different on each of the codecs.

You'd need to request new Product Keys from Cisco for each of the C90s to change them from a 1P005 (Center) or 1P006 (Left of Right) T3 codec to a normal C90.

You'd also need to purchase any of the other licences you  may require for the two L&R codecs (ie Multsite, Natural Presenter,  etc) as these are only present on the Center codec in a T3.

In effect, you'd be doing the opposite of this document.
