TMS & Active Directory Groups Not Updating

Hi,

 

I am having a few issues with TMS and security groups based on AD groups. We use query based groups in AD to populate certain groups from fields in AD. Such as I have a group I which identifies all IT helpdesk staff. I attempted to create a TMS group based off this AD group but it never populated in TMS. I can only assume this is because TMS doesn't support AD groups that have nested QBG groups .

 

I then moved to a new standard domain local security group and populated that with 25 users. Only 23 will load in TMS. I have checked that the 2 that will not load, have loaded TMS before so I cant work out why they wont come through.

 

Also is there a way to run a scheduled job say daily in TMS to update these groups so it doesn't require the video administrator to run the sync once the AD guys have added them to the group?

When you add an AD group into TMS, the group members will not automatically populate in the list.  It's not until a member of that group first accesses TMS is when member's names will start to appear in the list.

The setting you're looking for to setup timed AD synchronization is under "Active Directory" in Administrative Tools > Configuration > Network Settings.
