TMS Server and VCS Control

Hi ,

        we have a request from client whether they can change the usename (admin) of the VCS Control in the TMS Server. They don't want to purge the VCS Control from the TMS Server, because they still need all the historical reports from the TMS Server. Basiaclly, they dont want to use the username : admin anymore for the TMS server management. They can create another account in the VCS Control with the admnin rights, but how do they change in the TMS Server without purging from the TMS server.

In the TMS Server ,under the connections tab of the VCS Control , there is a place to change the password. but no place the change the username.

TMS Software version : 13.1.2

VCS Control version : 7.0.1

Note : i have noticed this option is available on the TMS Server version 14.2.

Hi,

Using a different user name than 'admin' for managing VCSs was introduced in TMS 14.1 (CSCuc88048). Not even purging and re-adding will help, I'm afraid!

Your client has to upgrade if they want to use a different user name.
