Hi All,
I have upgraded our Telepresence Management Suite for Microsoft Exchange 5.5 and have configured a Room-Mailbox for a public meeting room with an MX300 Video Endpointment.
We are able to pull the Meeting information from Exchange and have the meeting displayed on the MX300. This will prove a very valuable feature, it will show how long you have the meeting room available before the next meeting.
However, we have been told to disable this feature because the rooms are public and the subject of the meetings throughout the entire day are available to see by all public external members. I.e if competitor A has a meeting in the morning, they will see that competitor B will also have a meeting in the afternoon.
We have tried to set the meetings to Private, but this will prevent our reception team to view who the meeting belongs to and direct people to the correct meeting rooms. They need to see the meeting details in their outlook client under the Room-Mailbox.
Is there a way to remove subjects of meetings being displayed on the MX300 endpoints?
Thanks for your assistance,
Ed

The only way to hide the subject on the endpoints is to use the private flag within Outlook, which is supported with TMS 15.5 and TMSXE 5.5. The downside as you've noticed, is it prevents users from seeing the details within Outlook and not just the endpoint. Unfortunately, there is no workaround, it's either private everywhere, or not private at all.

Thanks for your response Patrick.
Any ideas on the best approach to raise this as a feature request?
