Touch Control For SX20

Hi,

Need to buy a 10-inch Touch Control for Cisco SX20 (CTS-SX20-PHD4X-K9).

Wanted to order CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 but dealer is giving alternate part no CTS-CTRL-DV10. As per this link http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-touch/data_sheet_c78-646041.html

CTS-CTRL-DV10- is confirmed compatible with second generation MX300 series but also mentions it supports future generations of SX and MX series.

In the SX20 datasheet http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-sx20-quick-set/data_sheet_c78-688342.html?referring_site=RE&pos=1&page=http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-touch/d... only CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 is shown as compatible.

Query: is CTS-CTRL-DV10 the same as CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 and is it 100% compatible with SX20 end-point?

Appreciate if somebody could confirm earliest.

The SX20 datasheet could just be a typo, what your reseller quoted you is the correct item.  Note, in order to use the Touch 10, the SX20 will need to be running CE software.

Thanks Patrick. My SX20 came with SW-S52010-TC7-K9 so I presume we have to upgrade to CE software. But my SX20 also came with Remote Control TRC 5 which I believe will not work with CE software :(

The TRC5 remote will not work with CE software.  If you want to run CE software, your choices are to either purchase a TRC6 remote (CST-RMT-TRC6=) or Touch 10.

The TRC5 remote will not work with CE software.

From my testing that isn't 100% correct.  The basic functions on a TRC5 remote will work (dialling, menu navigation, phonebook), but the other more advanced buttons will do nothing other than give you a warning message on screen that you need a TRC6.

If you use the Touch10, then that has all the functionality that you should need so you shouldn't need to use the remote any more.

The SX20 will only communicate with the touch 10 if the codec has 'ce' software?  I was under the impression TC7.3.8 could. Please confirm. Thanks a bunch.

You are correct, Touch 10 isn't limited to just CE software, it can be used with TC software as well, but on the current line of endpoints being sold (SX, MX, Spark Room Kits, etc). Sorry for the mistake in information regarding this.
