Unable to conference calls on ephone 7960

I have C2801-IPVOICE using CallManager Express 3.3 I have configured "max-conferences" in the router, but still unable to conference calls. Unsure if this issue relates to version 3.3 hardcoding ip phones to G729 or not.

The conference function that is available on CME is through the IP phone itself.Therefore you will be limited to 3 parties per conference call.Thus you will need a minimum of 3 lines to setup one conference call.Once the call is established you will only be using one line.

thanks for your response. I troubleshot this and a slew of other problems I'm having and found that I need to order a PVDM (packet-voice data module) card in order to have the DSP's available to conference.
