VCS Control and Expressway

We ordered VCS control and expressway . Against this order we received server UCS C220 M3 Server. I connected VGA on the server front panel and its asking login password. As I experience VCS and Expressway are separate units and we can set IP address on the device front panel . Then we can login to the device by web interface using set IP. about the new M3 server please provide technical information and support for configuring VCS and Expressway .

To install the VCS appliance, refer to the VCS CE1000 Appliance Install Guide (X8.8).  Once you install the server, to configure the VCS-C and -E, refer to the VCS Basic Configuration (Control with Expressway) Deployment Guide (X8.8).

We received only one unit against order VCS and Expressway. single server can run both ?

You should have received one hardware appliance for each VCS-C and -E you purchased.

• VCS-C-BDL-K9 is the part number for VCS-C C1000 appliance.
• VCS-E-BDL-K9 is the part number for VCS-E C1000 appliance.

The VCS appliances are software installed on bare metal servers, so you cannot run additional software besides the what's already installed.
