WEB BRIDGE DNS FAILURE

THE Certs are kicking my butt.  Sorry I am a rock.

Ok I created the .key and .CSR and submitted the CSR to my CA.

I got back the CA and uploaded via WINSCP the  CA with .CRT extension.

Webadmin = .key and .crt

Callbridge = .key and .crt

Webbridge = .key and .crt

XMPP = .key and .crt

Now what I think I did right was the bundle.crt ???   I put the CA first and the Root CA1 and CA2 second in the .CRT bundle file

Now I get in the status on CMS the join.example.com URI (DNS Failure) ???

I pointed the join A record to the IP of interface A  ???

I created the SRV records also ..

Also when I browse the join.example.com using chrome I get the Meeting APP but only a sign in and not a join button ??

Hello Chris,

If only sign in option is coming that means you have not posted the join url under webbridge

you can do it via web gui under configuration --> general--webbridge settings

image.png

also you can do it via api via posting a new webbridge with a join url.

Also make sure you have _xmpp-client SRV r?

if DNS is failing you can try command

dns lookup A join.example.com and see if it is resolving to IP or not?

if not try dns flush if you are sure that you have made the join A record.

Thanks

I added the following information in the CMS via the browser. Don't have postman so I can't use the API format .. Not sure how to manually build an api script without using postman. Web Bridge Settings: Guest URI: https://join.example.com Guest accout JID domain: example.com Guest access vai ID and passcode: secure: require passcode to be supplied with ID Guest access via hyperliinks: allowed User sign in: allowed IVR: 6983319999 joining scheduled lync conferenced by ID: not allowed External access Web Bridge URI: https join.example.com IVR telephone number 6983319999 ------------------------------------------------------------------- I think I found the problem .. please confirm and what would be the correction if I need to fix it. The SRV records _xmpp-client._tcp.example.com pointing to xmpp.example.com port 5222 _xmpp-server._tcp.example.com pointing to xmpp.example.com port 5269 So the join.example.com would not work ... I modified the CMS and replaced the join URI with the XMPP and still the same problem .. the Join option doesn't show up in the Meeting APP from the browser ??

Hello Chet,

You don't need a _xmpp-server srv here

you can refer the below link-

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/conferencing/meeting-server/213821-configure-and-integrate-cms-single-combi.html#anc12
