SX Series Macro & Software Update

Hi All,

I've got a customer looking for macro functionality on a Touch 10 for an SX20.

They've had bad experiences in the past with Crestron devices in which a software update on the codec breaks their code.

Can anyone clarify if a software update on the codec could break the macro or would this not be the case as we are running everything on the Cisco codec and same software, rather than disparate systems?

Thanks in advance,

Eric Rolzhauser

You could possibly run into the same issues running a macro on the endpoint as you would with a Crestron program, and this is because software evolves, over time some features might simply change or go away and we'd have to adjust the programming of the macro/Crestron as needed.
