以下の 24/48 Port Dual-Rate 10GE/1GE Line Card を、IOS-XR 64bit(eXR) が動作しているルータに挿入しても、起動しない問題が報告されています。
この問題は IOS-XR 32bit(Classic XR) には該当しません。

上記の LC は Classic XR では 6.2.1 から、eXR では 6.3.2/6.4.1 からサポートされていますが、LC の FPD/BIOS が 6.3.2/6.4.1 未満の IOS-XR に含まれているものである場合、eXR の起動をサポートしないことが原因です。
問題に該当している場合、以下の様に sysadmin VM 上の show platform で SW_INACTIVE の状態で stuck します。

eXR 上で起動しない LC を、正常に起動させるようなワークアラウンドはありませんが、事前の対処方法としては、以下の2つがあります。
- Classic XR 6.3.2/6.4.1 以降が動作している ASR9K 上で、該当 LC のFPD をアップグレードした上で、eXR 環境に搭載する
- Classic XR 6.2.1 ,6.2.2, 6.2.25, 6.2.3, 6.3.1 が動作している ASR9K 上で CSCvg75433 の SMU をインストールし、FPD をアップグレードする。その後、eXR 環境に搭載する。
