コンテンツセキュリティ製品の物理アプライアンスx80モデル以降には Remote Power Cycle(RPC)ポートが用意されており、このインターフェイスを利用してネットワーク経由での機器の起動が可能です。
（ESA: AsyncOS 8.0.1以降、SMA: AsyncOS 8.1.1以降、WSA: AsyncOS 7.7.0-725以降）
CLI "remotepower"コマンドを利用してRPCポート用のIPアドレスを設定します。
以下はコマンドラインでの設定操作例です。

(hostname)> commit (“commit”コマンドで設定を反映)
"commit"操作後、設定が有効になるまで暫く時間がかかります。
10分程度経過後、RPCポートに設定したIPアドレスに対して PING などで通信が可能な状態になるか確認してください。
IPMIユーティリティが利用できるクライアントより、RPCポートに"chassis power"コマンドを送ります。
（RPCポートでは"chassis power" コマンド以外のコマンド利用はサポートしていません。）
以下は"ipmitool"をインストールしたCentOS/Red Hatでの操作例です。
（"Get Device ID command failed: 0xd4 Insufficient privilege level" の
メッセージが表示されても問題ありません。無視してください。）
アプライアンスの状態を確認します。
# ipmitool -H 192.168.0.100 -U cisco -P (パスワード) chassis power status
Get Device ID command failed: 0xd4 Insufficient privilege level
Chassis Power is off
アプライアンスをオン状態にして起動させます。（AsyncOSの起動には操作後
数分かかります。）
# ipmitool -H 192.168.0.100 -U cisco -P (パスワード) chassis power on

"power"コマンドの利用可能なオプションとしては他に以下のようなものがあります。
soft ：ACPI経由でのOSへのシャットダウン要求
off ：機器をオフ状態へ
cycle ：機器を一旦オフ状態にした後、1秒後にオン状態へ
reset ：機器のH/Wリセット
diag ：CPUへのNMI割込要求（オン状態のままAsyncOSは動作停止します）
ただしこれらのコマンドによる停止、再起動はOSの安全な停止操作や停止操作の記録が行われないため通常の運用での停止、再起動にご利用されることはお勧めしません。
通常の運用でのAsyncOSの停止、再起動を行う場合はCLI "shutdown", "reboot"コマンドや管理GUIなどOSからの停止、再起動操作を行ってください。
AsyncOS操作不可状況下でRPCポート経由で強制停止、再起動を試みる場合は、まずは"soft"での停止を試み、それでも停止しない場合に "off", "reset" をご利用ください。
