Hi,

can you explain this in detail.

JB

Hello! When linking the user to the phone, I would like DN to take the phone number of that user from the LDAP field "ip-phone".

Hi

Thats is not possible through LDAP, you can make the userd ID for the enduser to one of the below, but you cannot change the DN

LDAP Attribute for User ID

If synchronization with the LDAP server is enabled, you can choose an LDAP attribute value for the user ID. Choose one of the following values from the drop-down list box:

  • For Microsoft Active Directory
    • sAMAccountName
    • mail
    • employeeNumber
    • telephoneNumber
    • userPrincipalName
  • Microsoft Active Directory Application Mode
    • uid
    • mail
    • employeeNumber
    • telephoneNumber
    • userPrincipalName
  • For Sun ONE LDAP Server, iPlanet, and OpenLDAP
    • uid
    • mail
    • employeeNumber
    • telephoneNumber

Thanks for the answer!

It is not clear what you want, if you want to sync the Phone Number in CUCM to ipPhone in LDAP, you can do that.

If you want to create a DN based on that fields, you can, but you need CUCM 10.5+, and that is mostly used for Self-Provisioning. And that only works for the first time it syncs.

If you want to update the user/device/line association from what you update in LDAP, that is not possible.
