use the OS admin user and password to login, i already told you in previous post to simply open a browser (in other computer) and do http:\\server ip address

Hi, i appreciate your help however i m not able to understand you. Ill explain to you the set up that i have. I have a cisco mcs 7800 series server (a rack mounted box)this is directly connected to a monitor. i login to the system using my company login name and password. i can then go to the command prompt and check the ip addreess settings and all.. but i dont understand how can i find out wat version of call manager is running on the server. how can i make changes to it. i tried to http into the ip address that i am getting (when i do a ip config on the command prompt) but it does not open any page. please let me know if you need any information to assist me better..

first of all, if you're not using SSH session that's not a CUCM server, also regular cmd line cmds as you use them on your PC are not the ones to use in linux so that is not a linux box
if it's windows log into CCMadmin and you will se the version there

how can i log into the ccmadmin ??
07-24-2008 10:05 AM
http:\\ip_address\ccmadmin
if it's a CUCM server there is already an entry in the start menu or on the desktop if running windows
if linux appliance then just do http:\\ip_address and a link will show up

Ok, start -> run -> services.msc
do you see a CCM service?? if not that's not a CCM server.
if you're doing this on your desktop then you're looking at your own PC and not at a server. either RDP or VNC into the server (again, if windows based)

I have attached a screen shot of the screen that i get wen i do the Ok, start -> run -> services.msc, i do get some options related to call manager... i guess you would be able to understand it better fro the screen shot.. i have also attched a picture of the device (mcs 7800 series server) that i have so tat u might be able to know wat device im looking at as i dont have much of an idea. this server device directly connects to a monitor which is windows based. Also i have posted a link where u can see the device mcs 7800 series that i am talking abt, this might give u a better idea...thanks you for your help again.

well, that's something. try using the username and pwd you use for the server itself, if it does not have MLA you'll get in
