CPCA Issue on discovery

Hi All

I have a Prime Collaboration Assurance V11 installed in demo mode for a client. Upon discovery of the cluster that is also listed as Managed V11 to me, but no phone is listed in the Inventory. I checked that services are correct and that the user has permission and would be all right. In addition, the CDR is not reaching the CPCA, I have verified data in sftp several times and also would be all right.

I do not know if anyone out there has experience that can guide me to do all the discovery ...

Hi,

I can recommend you following cisco docwiki page which walks through the PCA setup

http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Configure_Devices_for_Prime_Collaboration_Assurance

If you follow these guideline step by step you should get the discovery a.s.o. up and running.

If you just started please run the latest downloadable version (11.5.69091)

BR,

Christoph

That's is the guide i've followed. I've checked that steps several times with no luck. i really don't know what to do next.

The discovery is only for the cluster, but the endpoint aren't discovered.

Thanks for your reply

by default web access is disabled from phones, can you confirm that http is enabled on the phones and from network/firewall point of view PCA can access them?

The PCA have access to the phones network. In version 11 is necessary to have the phones assigned to the users to make this work?...

Thanks very much!..

Hi Christoph:

I have installed the latest version available (11.5) and still the same issue. The thing is when i use the "UC Device Search" option. All the phones are in the results.

I have tested to make a discovery from a phone ip address and show as UNREACHABLE, and unreachable via ICMP.

Leonardo, before i recommend you to open a TAC case for it:

1. I understand correctly you´re currently in enhanced mode of the product, running in eval mode, right?

2. How many nodes do you have in your cluster and are they both in managed state?

3. Did you create a dedicated credential profile for your CUCM, if not i would try this way and use the "verify" functionality in profile as well.

4. In Inventory/Inventory Schedule/Cluster Data Discovery, can you confirm it was running at any time?

For the phone to be discovered you dont need to have web access enabled, btw.

The web access is needed for some of the enhanced functions, but not for discovery.

Hi Steffen,

My Answers:

1. I understand correctly you´re currently in enhanced mode of the product, running in eval mode, right?

Yes

2. How many nodes do you have in your cluster and are they both in managed state?

There are 4 nodes and, they are in managed state

3. Did you create a dedicated credential profile for your CUCM, if not i would try this way and use the "verify" functionality in profile as well.

Yes, we create dedicated credentials profile as the official guide recommends

4. In Inventory/Inventory Schedule/Cluster Data Discovery, can you confirm it was running at any time?

Yes, is running and the task is marked as ready.

Unfortunately, i can't open a TAC case due the cluster is not our (belogs to another partner).

Thanks for the help.

Regards!

Thanks all. At least the problem was the DNS configuration on the client network. it must be set the PTR Point to get all work.

Best regards to all!.
