CUC10.5 on VMware Fusion Pro 7 + Macbook Pro

Hello, I am trying to install Cisco Unity Connection 10.5.2 on VMware Fusion Pro 7 on my MBP. I read many posts before I decided to put my question here and I tried many tips, but I hope someone can solve my issue.

I installed 30-days version of Fusion, created new VM and tried to install CUC 10.5. The message I always get is

"Product not supported on current hardware : Cisco Unity Connection"

I tried many configurations. Firstly, I used:

http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Virtualization_for_Cisco_Unity_Connection (to specify hardware requirements according to the manual)

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/10x/supported_platforms/10xcucspl.html

My configuration was:

  • 1 x vCPU (in Fusion it's rather number of cores - 1 core in my case),
  • 4 GB vRAM,
  • 160 GB vHDD (pre-allocated, Bus type: "SCSI"),
  • 1 x vNIC set as NAT (later tried with "Bridged" and "Host Only").

Every time I got the same result (see picture above). After hardware check (the initial step during installation) the installer says CUC is not supported on this HW.

I found someone succeeded with CUC 8 on Fusion: http://www.ccietalk.com/2010/11/21/installing-cisco-unity-connection-8-on-vmware-fusion
According to this I expanded my resources. Result was the same. My best configuration was 8 processor cores, 6 GB vRAM, 300 GB vHDD pre-allocated. (see files attached to this post)

Important fact - I installed Cisco Unified Communications Manager (the available product) on my hardware (with worse settings than I listed above).

Important fact - I installed Cisco Unified Communications Manager on Windows 8.1 using VMware Workstation 11. I am having the same problem trying to install Cisco Unity Connection on this W8.1 PC.

Both products are from the same .iso file.

Does anyone have a solution how to install it? I really need to sort it out...

Note - my spec: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), 2,6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 500 GB SSD, OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, VMware Fusion Pro 7.1.0
