CUCM 8.5 Team working question???

Morning All

I wonder if someone could offer some assistance in a problem I'm looking at relating to group working.

Basically we have 10 users with Mobility DNs who work on a helpdesk team, we don't want all users to be able to call them directly but if they do then they get forwarded to a pilot number for the Helpdesk.

But we do want some people with in the ISD team to call them directly without being forwarded.

Any offerings would be very welcome.

Create a translation or translation patterns to match their DNs and redirect them to the pilot, make sure "regular users" only have access to those via CSS/partitions or configure that partition above the one from their real numbers.

Make sure ISD doesn't have the TP partition so they can call directly.

Thanks for the response!

Do the Helpdesk Dns need to be in there own partition?

Apologies but I'm still new to CUCM!

Not necessarily, what matters here is the CSS from the phones that will call them. To simplify things it would be better they have a separate partition. It really all depends on your dial plan and how it's configured.

Create a TP that matches their DN and make sure it's in it's own partition, it cannot be the one the helpdesk is using.

You'll need a new CSS, either copy or create one. For users who need to reach them and really call the pilot, set the CSS from the TP.

For users that are allowed to reach them directly set the real partition their DNs belong to in their CSS.
