CUPC 720p hd video calls

Hi, folks!

We have a setup with CUPS 8.6.3 server and CUPC 8.5 clients. 720p Logitech webcams connected. Video calls are working, but the resolution is max VGA or less.

How is the CUPC client figuring out what kind of resolution will it send to other party?

As I understood from the manuals the CUPC is supporting up to 720p.

Hi Girts,

CUPC has a way to limit the bandwidth used for video calls. If you refer to the Release Notes below,

you'll see the different levels supported on Table 14:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/8_5/english/release/notes/cupc85.html#wp182026

Keep in mind that video resolution could be affected by factors including the client

computer's capability, user settings, available bandwidth, etc.

Regards,

Tere.

Hmm.

Changed the max video bitrate for the phones in CUCM.

Checked on different PCs with different WEI numbers.

Can't get above 352 × 288... Where is this hardcoded? Can it be somehow changed?

LAN, CPU, RAM everything's more than needed.
