The reason i'm writing this is that i'm noticing poor performance on my CUPC client locally on the LAN with video / audio.
given that most switches are configured via auto qos to trust cisco phone this would not likely cover the CUP client due to the fact that this is SIP based from what i understand.
Can someone provide a bit more refined picture as to how this whould look to get the best out of the video experience?
Thanks,
Paul.

If you looked at the packet capture, you'll notice that all voice packets (RTP) are marked with DSCP value of 0x2e (Expedite Forwarding). While regular data packets are 0x00.

That's good but having said that will the auto qos mechanisms cover this and if so which. I have both a desk phone and cupc.
the auto qos options are cisco-phone or cisco-softphone.
Thanks for reply.
